Let’s just say that the word chemistry could be a foreign language to me. I could not tell you the first thing about the periodic table, except it is full of letters and numbers and I have no idea what it means. It is a bit embarrassing to admit this, but it is 100% true. So when I was asked to review Fascinating Chemistry by Fascinating Education I could breathe a deep sigh of relief.
What is Fascinating Chemistry:
Fascinating Chemistry offers a full science course for chemistry. This course is video based with the ability to print the entire printable PDF script from the video so you can keep a science notebook and have a reference to look back to. Tests are all within the lesson and they are self graded. YAY! As a mom that makes this program so much better. You can also print the test results for record keeping. The ability to print the tests to be taken is a great feature as well.
The narrator for the videos keeps your child’s attention and makes learning all about chemistry fun. The lessons are presented in a way that they engage the children and teach chemistry at their level. This is great because chemistry can be very intimidating, your child knows that they can log on, watch the lesson video, and then test on the lesson, then they can be done for the day.
This is a screenshot of the student dashboard. It is very user-friendly and easy to use. If you would like to see the full chemistry course outline you can find it here.

What we thought about Fascinating Chemistry:
As the educator in our home I was very impressed with the ease of the student dashboard and the videos. This course is excellent for visual learners. The videos are easy to watch and follow along with. I really love the self grading tests and the ability to print everything for my records.
My son really liked the course. He liked the videos a lot because they explained with visuals everything that was being taught. He wanted to keep going even when the lesson was done for the day. He became very interested in chemistry after watching the first video. I feel he has a much better understanding of chemistry and feels confident in want he has learned.
